We teach karate with a deep respect for those who have gone before us. Our dojo is part of a much bigger family of martial artists who have benefited from the dedication of our founder, Hanshi Doug Perry. We welcome any one who seeks to enjoy health and wellness through a consistent commitment to training in the martial arts.
Our Focus
Today’s society is much different compared to the culture and conditions that existed on Okinawa hundreds of years ago. We have a unique opportunity to study the art of okinawan karate as it applies to the world we live in today. We attempt to share with our students an experience of learning an art that has been passed down for hundreds of years. We attempt to teach in an environment that is much like what you would experience in many Okinawan dojos you may visit.
Our Style
We teach Shorin-Ryu karate and kobudo. This is a culmination of knowledge from our founder, Hanshi Kudan Doug Perry, who has trained with many okinawan masters throughout his extensive 50+ years of devotion to Karate-do.
